Could I get on a lower volleyball team? (Middle School)?

It's almost summer break, and I'm looking forward to going to a bunch of volleyball camps. I'm going to three, but I'm worried I won't still have the skill I had last year. Our school has three teams; (listed highest team to lowest) Varsity A, Varsity B, and JV. I really want to be back on Varsity A for my eighth grade year, I was on it last year, (I was the setter) but I'm not sure if I'm qualified to go down to Varsity B. This might be an unfair advantage, since I played on a higher level. I didn't get much playing time last year because there were only five seven graders on the Varsity A team, and the rest were eighth graders. So could I be bumped down to a lower team?
