Is it rare to make the varsity volleyball team when you are a freshman?

Hi I'm in eighth grade. Tryouts for the highschool volleyball team start next week. I have been playing for four years; in 4th grade I was on rec and 5th grade thru 8th (now) I have been on a really good club team. I am good at serving & jump serving, okay at outside & middle hitter, great at backrow, and (not to brag) really really good at setter. And I was kind of mad when at the pre tryout meeting there were a bunch of former cheerleaders that were just in it for the spandex shorts. So do you think I would possibly make it to jv or even varsity? The coach told me that from what she has heard about me that I will probably skip the freshman team and it's between jv and varsity. Would this be rare to get on varsity because I am working really hard at getting on it. Thanks (:
