Is it bad to transfer high schools when you play sports ?

Im a sophmore in highschool, and play volleyball for my school team, I am a starting setter, but am having a dillema as to switch schools, the only thing is, that the school that i am thinking about MAYBE moving to, is one of our biggest rivals, there academic programs are alot better tho, and the school that im going to right now, IS NOT my home school. My homeschool, is the one that i'm thinking about transferring to.... But what do i do? is it bad to switch schools when you already play sports for it. another thing is that, i dont have much chemistry with our players, yet i have chemistry on the court with the other school's players, its so weird... but at the same time I dont wanna be looked at like a "traitor"
