How to train a 5 month old Irish setter?

My dog is driving me CRAZY!! he is 5 months old and a pure bred irish setter..He will not listen to anyone and is extremely hyper!! I need desprate help in learning how to train him, and way to keep him from being so hyper....HELP!?
